Businesses that we are boycotting

Caution:
The purpose of this page is to enforce a boycott on businesses in the area of our residences, of our school and of Seoul that we are actively boycotting because of its treatment of foreign customers (Korean spouses and partners).
We would like you to complete the following when registering such a business:
  1. Business name and/or type of business.
  2. Location and picture of business (this really helps for those unable to read hangul).
  3. Specific reasons for boycott.

  1. Bicycle shop on the corner of the three way intersection just south of Woomi Apt. It is near the 5500 bus stop.
  2. Poor treatment of foreign clients. Abusive language used on Korean partners of foreign staff. Despite our school having given this man years of business he has been hostile to our presence in his store. On one occasion, May 16, 2012, he verbally abused two members of staff, and physically grabbed both of them as they were attempting to leave the immediate vicinity of his store. Other members of staff have reported that he has stolen/lost parts of bicycles when he was hired to reassemble a bike brought to Korea; that he has had an offensive attitude towards their presence in his store, and; he has even told a member of staff that was at least trying to speak to him in Korean that the person should 'learn to speak Korean.' Our giving him any sort of business is just rewarding his negative attitude and behaviors. Other bicycle shops exist a little further away than his is from Woomi, but those working at them are far more gracious. BOYCOTT HIM.
